The 32nd Annual Rubber Ducky Festival, this month in Michigan, features a rubber ducky race down a river with the winner bringing home $500. See how to enter.

The Rubber Ducky Festival will take place in downtown Bellaire, August 12th - 18th, with the rubber ducky race on August 17th.

The quarter-mile race goes down Intermediate River and includes 2,000 rubber ducks.

Visitors can buy a duck in the race for $5. The top 27 ducks win a cash prize:

  • 1st = $500
  • 2nd = $300
  • 3rd = $100
  • 4th-7th = $50
  • 8th-27th = $10

The festival features several other events throughout the week including an arts & crafts show, bounce houses, slides, face painting, a free kid's movie, an appearance from Smokey the Bear and more.

The Grand Parade and Rubber Ducky Race start at 3:00 on Saturday, August 17. The race starts at North Bridge after the parade and finishes at Riverside Marina.
