Winter Weather Advisory Extended Through Friday
The Winter Weather Advisory that was issued Tuesday night at 10 PM has been extended through Friday evening at 7 PM.
The freezing rain that we are experiencing this morning will transition to rain in the late morning and then the rain might turn into thunderstorms this afternoon before becoming snow this evening. The snow will most likely start around 9 PM this evening and at that time temperatures will start to drop dramatically and cause all of the precipitation from the day to freeze.
Snow accumulation is expected to be 1 to 3 inches, with more snow falling close to the lakeshore. In addition to snow, expect a poor commute tomorrow morning because of blowing winds and cold temperatures causing slick and icy roads.
