Why Did Terri DeBoer Retire?

There were several reasons why Terri Deboer decided to retire from Wood TV 8.

I would assume it would be nice to turn off that early 3 a.m. alarm clock after 30-plus years.

During Terri's goodbye announcement, she shared that she would be busy focusing on launching her own publishing company, professional coaching, and spending more time with her expanding family. One of her daughters recently married and the other had Terri’s second grandson this summer.

“My retirement from broadcasting will allow me to spend more time with my family; especially my aging parents and my sweet grandsons, Time goes by so fast!" -Terri DeBoer

Will Terri DeBoer Still Be On Eight West?

Back in 2009 Terri DeBoer and Rachel Ruiz launched Eight West, a daily lifestyle show geared to West Michigan. Terri will no longer be on Eight West but a familiar face to Wood TV viewers will be joining Rachel Ruiz.

Tom Hillen shared the exciting news on social media that he will be joining Eight West alongside Rachel Ruiz.

A huge thank you to Terri DeBoer for all that she did in West Michigan, and a big congratulations to Tom Hillen on this exciting new opportunity.
