You Don’t HAVE to Wear a Mask, But Michigan Businesses CAN Deny You Access Without One
In Governor Whitmer's extension of the Stay-At-Home Oder, she made it a requirement that starting Monday, in enclosed public spaces, you have to be wearing a face mask.
That infuriated a number of people, but as DetroitNews.com points out, you're not going to be ticketed or arrested for not wearing a face mask, BUT don't be upset and act a fool if you get denied access into a store because you're not wearing one.
According to the governor's office and DetroitNews.com, the governor did say in her new executive order, that legally, stores could turn you away for not wearing a mask, starting Monday.
You're not required to wear a medical N-95 mask as those are still reserved for health care workers, but are encouraged to wear "handkerchiefs, bandannas, scarfs or homemade cloth masks" if you can't find another type of face mask, DetroitNews.com reports.
