Yuengling Beer is Finally Coming to Michigan – Well, Some of It

Michigan is known for its love of beer. There are a ton of fantastic breweries all throughout the state. But one non-Michigan beer has been in high demand in the Mitten State for years, and now we're finally getting it. Well, some of us are.

Yuengling has announced that it will finally be distributing its beer in Michigan - but not the whole state... yet. 

When is Yuengling Coming to Michigan?

In a post on Facebook on June 9, Yuengling announced that it will be available in Michigan beginning in August.

Unfortunately for those of us in Grand Rapids, Northern Michigan, and the Upper Peninsula, we still won't be able to get our hands on a Yuengling without making a bit of a road trip.

According to the post on Facebook, Yuengling will be rolling out slowly in Michigan, beginning with a "limited launch in Detroit, Ann Arbor, Lansing, and surrounding areas."

How Michiganders Are Reacting to Yuengling Coming to Michigan

Michiganders quickly took to the comments to express their excitement for Yuengling finally coming to the state.

Robert K. pointed out that it's probably going to affect tourism in neighboring states.

Previously, if folks in Michigan wanted to get their hands on some Yuengling, they'd have to make the drive to either Ohio or Indiana (and who wants to go there?)

Some in the state, like TJ C., are planning to treat the release day as a holiday.

Scott S. pointed out that this has been a long time coming for Michiganders.

Will Yuengling Ever Be Available in All of Michigan?

Thankfully for those of us in West Michigan and the rest of the state, Yuengling does appear to have plans to bring its beer to the rest of the state eventually.
