Zendaya said she won't be making music anytime soon.

The multi-talented 22-year-old, who began her acting career on the Disney Channel shows Shake It Up and K.C. Undercover, covers Paper magazine's June issue. In her interview, she revealed she probably won't release an album or revisit her singing career because she'd rather focus on acting and her new role on HBO's Euphoria.

In case you didn't know, Zendaya released a self-titled album back in 2013.

"I think the [music] industry takes a little bit of passion away from you," she explained. "It sucks you dry a little bit. What I thought I wanted, it's not what I want anymore, [especially] when I think about what I had to deal with in the music industry."

Though Zendaya didn't share any details about her experience, she went on to provide some great advice for anyone looking to launch a music career—always make sure you know exactly what you're signing up for.

"Look over those contracts, every single word, and don't sign anything that isn't worth it to you," she said. "You are worth more than they will say that you are."

As for how she feels about her Disney image, she admitted her past has made it difficult for people to take her seriously, adding that she's more aware of what roles she chooses and where she wants her career to go. “I’m in the phase of learning and watching and trying to absorb as much as I can," Zendaya said.
