Griffins To Wear Fan Designed Jerseys Saturday Night
If you recall the Grand Rapids Griffins held a contest to have their fans design a jersey for the team to wear. Saturday night, the team will don the winning design, and you'll have a chance to get one.
Last summer I told you about a contest the Grand Rapids Griffins were having to have a fan design an alternate jersey. The top designs were posted on the web site Uni-Watch, and fans chose the top two, with this sweater, designed by Dan Kennedy chosen by the club as the winner.
The team announced that they will wear those jerseys for Saturday night's game against the Cleveland Monsters. Immediately following the game, fans can head over to the Intermission Restaurant, where the jerseys will be auctioned off with the proceeds going to the Griffins Youth Foundation, which supports youth hockey in the greater Grnad Rapids area.
As always, Friends and Family Four Packs are available for the game, which gets underway at 7pm at Van Andel Arena. It's also Alpine hat night, so the first 2500 fans will get one of these cool Griffins hats.
