I Take Back Every Bad Thing I Ever Said About Leggings Worn As Pants

I'm here to offer a retraction. To confess my sins. To say for maybe the first time in my entire life - I was wrong.

I long held the belief that leggings should not be worn as pants, and I shouted that belief from the rooftops, from behind the microphone, and via blogs on this very website. But, I was wrong. Leggings can be pants - amazing, comfortable pants.

My conversion into the mindset that leggings can, in fact, be pants was not a fast one. It took years, and up until recently, I still wasn't on board with the trend.

So, what changed my mind? You ladies probably already know where I'm heading with this... LulaRoe. If you're not familiar with LulaRoe, you've been living under a rock for the past year or so. It's basically cute, comfy clothes all sold by individual consultants across the country (a lot of the sales are held via Facebook). Anyway, the leggings are super soft, super comfortable, and super amazeballs.

Anyway, enough about LulaRoe, that's not what this blog is about. This blog is about the fact that I was wrong and you all were right and I'm sorry. I now not only wear leggings as pants, I have an entire drawer full of leggings. A whole drawer, guys! (It doesn't help that I have four friends who sell the stuff and they're all enablers.)

Now, I still hold on to some very basic rules when it comes to leggings as pants, and the most important one is this: your shirt needs to be long enough to cover your business. If your shirt doesn't hang down past your butt in the back and your business in the front, you can't wear leggings as pants. Okay, you can, but you shouldn't.

So there you have it. Leggings can be worn as pants. I've seen the light. Just make sure that your shirt is long enough.
