UPS looking into Delivery Drones

While Amazon recently announced that they are looking into making their deliveries using robots, UPS has also been researching into the new technological potential. However, unlike Amazon, UPS has the potential to transfer packages from one UPS location to another, not just directly to the customer. In early 2013, Domino's pizza reportedly delivered pizzas in Ireland via drone.

While Amazon & UPS are hoping for this technology in the very near future, Microsoft founder Bill Gates believes that they are being 'overly optimistic', and that this could be possible farther down the road.
