200 Tattoo Artists Gathering in GR for Tattoo Festival Later This Month

Getting a tattoo is one of the most personal, and sometimes therapeutic things you can do. But sometimes, you can't find someone locally to do the specific thing you want in the style that you want.

So, in that case a lot of times, you may have to travel long distances just to sit hours in a chair in a strange city, in order to get that permanent piece of art on your skin forever.

But, West Michigan residents are lucking out because some of the world's best Tattoo artists will be descending onto Grand Rapids to compete and showcase their art, and it will be your chance to get in their chair without purchasing airfare.

Grand Rapids Tattoo Festival is coming to DeVos Place later this month, on October 27th through 29th. 200+ of the world's best tattoo artists will be competing in 15 categories to show off and test their skills.

And one of the best parts of it? Not only will you get to see some incredible tattoos, you'll also have your chance to get into their chair to get your own.

There will be a few walk up opportunities available, but they recommend that you book with artists ahead of time in order to ensure your spot in their chair.

And it's not just for getting something new, you can admire some of the work and they're having a costume contest (kids included) on Saturday with a grand prize of $1000 for anyone who wants to enter.
