5-Year-Old Boy Hugs Breaks $132,000 Sculpture While Parents Aren’t Looking
Most parents can say that their children have gotten into trouble while the parents aren't looking, but how many people can say their kid got into $132,000 worth of trouble?
Security camera footage caught the 5-year-old boy knocking over a very expensive sculpture. The parents were clearly not watching their child and now being charged $132,000 by the insurance agency.
The sculpture was in a community center, so many people think that such an expensive sculpture shouldn't be in a building in which there are a lot of children. Or at the very least, the sculpture should be more protected against the public.
Mentalfloss.com had this to say about the incident: "According to Overland Park's insurance company, the piece was damaged irreparably by the fall. It had been listed at a price of $132,000, and a few days after the incident, the parents received a claim asking them to cover the entire cost."
What do you think, should the parents pay? Vote in our poll below!
