ArtPrize Venue Registration Begins Monday, March 12

If you find yourself walking around downtown and enjoying the warmer temperatures this week, consider it practice for later this year when ArtPrize returns.

It will be a while before we know who might be this year's great venues, but the whole process is set to begin.

Venue registration runs March 12 - April 12. 

I can't wait to see who this year's surprise, great venues will be.  Last year, Site:Lab won ArtPrize's first award for Best Venue. It was well deserved.  Multiple levels of art catered to the venue's wide-open space turned an empty building into an amazing ArtPrize experience.

Or what about Young Kim's "Salt & Earth (2009)" at 47 Commerce. If you saw it, you will not forget it.  In fact, it was so good, ArtPrize gave it a previously unannounced award. "Salt & Earth (2009)" was amazing, but it was made even more powerful by the venue itself.
