Another earthquake hit just off the coast of Japan today, prompting the Japan Meteorological Agency to issue a tsunami warning. Japanese officials are saying it was a 7.4 magnitude quake, while the US Geological Survey said it was a 7.1.

Workers were evacuated from a near by nuclear power plant as a precaution, but Tokyo Electric Power Company is saying that the power is still on at the plant.

No casualties have been reported at this time.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said based on all available data, "a destructive Pacific-wide tsunami is not expected and there is not a tsunami threat to Hawaii."

It took place shortly after 11:30 p.m. local time (10:30 a.m. ET).
