In a social media post, Doria shared the bittersweet news saying:

I have some bittersweet news to share...tonight is my last night anchoring at WOOD TV8. My last day on air is Friday the 26th. My time in West Michigan has been a dream come true. The people I have met, the stories I have told, and the community I have built is truly amazing. Thank you to everyone who has trusted me on your screens every Saturday night and during the week reporting on the stories that matter to you. While this is goodbye West Michigan, it is not goodbye to TV news, I'll be starting my new reporting position starting in July. More details coming soon...for now THANK YOU

Viewers left nice comments on her social media saying how much they would miss her on their tv.

You will be missed. thoroughly loved when you anchored the desk. Best of luck on your next endeavor - Lori

I'm excited to see where Doria lands next.

As someone that's moved across the country for different radio jobs, and finally got to come home to West Michigan after being away for 7 years, my hope for her is that it's at a TV station in Detroit because it's very close to her hometown of Troy.

Best of luck on your next opportunity, and thanks for all that you did to keep us updated and informed in West Michigan.
