Baby Toys, Sand, and Overnights – Steve’s Daddy Tips (4-7-21)

This week in Daddy Tips, Steve admits he was wrong and the Click of Six was right.

1. Today’s first Daddy Tip is for anyone who has an infant that throws their toys all over the place all of time. If you are tired of picking up toys over and over and over, just do what I do and buy some pacifier straps and just strap several toys to your baby. Sure, it makes them look silly, but, you don’t have to stop doing the dishes every 5 seconds to pick up their toy giraffe off the floor.
2. The next Daddy Tip is for anyone who is thinking about getting a sandbox this summer. Make sure you have a sand removal protocol set up for when your little one is coming inside the house after playing in the sandbox. Charlotte just got a sandbox and she tracked so much sand into the house the first couple days that we are still finding it everywhere. So, now we have the hose hooked up and a towel right by the door and we just spray that kid down like she’s a dog that got into some mud. No more sand in the house. Hopefully...
3. And the final Daddy Tip this week is one that pretty much every member of the Click of Six and Connie and Fish have been telling me and my wife to do since Charlotte turned 1. Let her go spend the night with family so we can get some time away. Turns out, the Click of Six was right. It was very refreshing and now I will pass that advice along to anyone else who has a little one and doesn’t want to send them off. Do it. It’s a good idea.
