History Of Oberon Ale

Oberon Ale was first brewed in 1992 and originally sold under the name "Solsun".
Bell's founder Larry Bell said the now-famous name is based on a character from Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream"
In 1997, Bell's Brewery began bottling Oberon Ale, which was previously only available on draft.

Oberon Eclipse will be on store shelves and bar taps later this fall. Oberon Eclipse will be available from October through March each year.

Bell's plans to host an Oberon Eclipse release event in the beer garden and back room of its Eccentric Café on Nov. 4 which is the night before daylight saving time ends and clocks shift back an hour.
