Sunday afternoon the GR Pride Festival announced their first performer for this year’s festival on their Facebook page when they told us Betty Who would be performing at the 30th annual Grand Rapids Pride Festival.

Betty Who is best known for her 2016 single  “Somebody Loves You”

She’s currently on tour and promoting new her new album “In The Valley” featuring her new single “Look Back”

 

Earlier the GR Pride Festival announced their theme this year was 30 & Fabulous as they celebrate 30 years in West Michigan.  Organizers also say in addition to the street fair with local vendors, beer tents, and food trucks, they’re also planning a drag show and other family-friendly events.

The 2018 Grand Rapids Pride Festival takes place, Saturday, June 16th at Calder Plaza, downtown Grand Rapids. The festival runs from noon to 10 pm, with a special “Hand in Hand” kickoff event happening at 11 am on Gillette Bridge near Ah Nab Awen Park.

Festival organizers say they have plenty more exciting news to announce with more entertainers, events, and partnerships in the next few weeks.
