Blake Shelton Gives Romantic Advice, Roasts Luke Bryan at Michigan Tour Wrap Up
On Saturday, September 7th, Blake Shelton came to Soaring Eagle Casino in Mount Pleasant for his final show of the year. While it’s early in the year for him to be hanging up his metaphorical hat, even The Voice judge was a little surprised at the fact that he’s already wrapping up for 2024. After announcing a huge tour for 2025 last week, and getting ready for a new season of The Voice, he’ll be off the road for a little while until his Vegas residency.

The concert was great with everyone having a blast in spire of the cold evening. Not only did Blake dig deep into his catalog to play songs like “Austin” and “Ol’ Red”, he also offered some advice and made a few jokes in between hit after hit on his setlist.
Early on in his set, he made jokes about how cold it was that evening (and even as a Michigander- I can admit that 48 degrees a week after Labor Day is a little silly even for us.) He also offered advice to a young man in the crowd who was trying to shoot his shot.

“Buddy, this is not the song”
Later on during his concert, he made a joke about not being aware that his opener Chayse Beckham was originally discovered on American Idol. And that he doesn’t usually “cross that line” because of that “drunk” Luke Bryan. The crowd laughed, Blake raised his cup, and he went back into his setlist, the crowd ready to sing along.
While it’s a bummer it will be a while until Blake returns to the mitten state again, it’s also an honor knowing he picked us to wrap up a whirlwind year.
