According to msn.com, workers had a hard time even getting into the club because of a "barrier" of bodies at the entrance.

The club was at capacity, which according to a bouncer is anywhere between 1,000 and 2,000 people. Adding to the problem was the fact that at least one of the emergency exits was locked. People were also reporting that bouncers initially tried to keep people from leaving, thinking that they were skipping out on their tabs.

Club owners are cooperating with authorities to try and pinpoint the exact cause of the blaze.
