A new dining option is coming to downtown Grand Rapids! And it looks delicious!

MLive reports that Texas de Brazil is planning to open at 111 Lyon Street NW in spring or summer of 2021.

The Brazilian steakhouse has nearly 60 locations across the U.S. The only other Michigan locations is in Detroit. Texas de Brazil "features a variety of grilled meats, a 50-item salad area, an a la carte desert selection and an award-winning wine list."

I love a good salad bar, so I'm super pumped about this. Also, their promo video is basically food porn -- seriously it looks so good.

According to MLive, the opening of Texas de Brazil is part of the redevelopment of the Fifth Third Center by CWD Real Estate Investment.

The new restaurant will occupy over 6,700-square-feet of the 15,000-square-feet of retail space available at the Lyon Street location.

Scott Wierda, managing partner of CWD Real Estate Investment told MLive,

“We have always been confident there was a huge opportunity to activate Lyon Street with restaurants and retail to serve all the businesses, employees, and visitors in downtown. We expect Texas de Brazil to be well received by our community as well as drawing other restaurants/retail to this site.”

CWD’s $6 million redevelopment of the Fifth Third Center will also include the addition of three to five storefronts; construction on those starts before the end of the year.
