Bubble Baths, Sound Effects, and Child Locks – Steve’s Daddy Tips (1-15-20)

Hi, I’m Steve and I’m a new Dad who has learned a lot of things over the last several months and I want to pass along some knowledge to you!

Each week I will be giving you some new tips for first-time parents and one spectacular Dad joke!  So let's get to the tips!

1. Today’s first Daddy Tip is to introduce your little one to the wonders of a bubble bath! Charlotte has always enjoyed bathtime, but now that she has experienced a bubble bath, this girl runs from one side of the house to the other when you say bathtime. That’s right, baby girl, there’s gonna be bubbles. Just be sure to grab the kid-friendly bubbles because kids and like to put the bathwater in their mouths.
2. The next Daddy Tip is to teach your little one awesome sound effects. Charlotte loves playing with toy cars, so I’ve shown her how to make engine noises with her mouth. OK, that wasn’t the best example, but whenever I pull out my phone to record something Charlotte’s doing, she always decides that she’s done, or no longer enthusiastic about whatever she was doing. But, take my word for it, teach your kid how to make sound effects, it’s pretty cool.
3. And the final Daddy Tip of the week is to lock up those child locks on your windows and doors. Charlotte had just discovered how the windows work in my car and now there is a pacifier on the side of the road by my house. Charlotte also was able to open her door from inside the car, but luckily she did that while I was parked. So, be sure to lock those doors and windows up or your little one will be tossing all their stuff out of the car while you drive.
