I can't say I've never thought about having a wild animal as a pet. Aquinas Kasbar thought about it too, and acted on it.

Last year, he stole a 34 year old ring tailed lemur named Issac from the Santa Ana Zoo in California. Kasbar said he snuck into the zoo after hours because he wanted a pet lemur. The next day, he dropped Issac the lemur outside of a local hotel with a note asking that he be returned to the zoo.

Kasbar has plead guilty to one count of unlawfully taking an endangered species. He is also facing 29 other misdemeanors and felonies from a string of robberies he committed in 2017 and 2018.
