With the new year come new year's resolutions.

However, instead of making a boring resolution like dieting or working out, why not make one to travel and enjoy the year to its fullest!

Sounds great right? And the best part is that you don't have to travel very far to experience amazing fun things.

Here is short list of great events from state to state across the U.S. that would be great to plan and visit for 2015.

Alaska: Iditarod
Anchorage to Nome, March 7-22: Who doesn't want to watch a 1,000-mile sled-dog race through the Alaskan wilderness?

Colorado: Great American Beer Festival
Denver, Sept. 24-26: Yes, we do live in "Beer City USA," but Colorado is not that far way. Who doesn't want to go to an event with 250 breweries where you stroll around and sip beer until you can’t taste it anymore?

Florida: Fantasy Fest
Key West, Oct. 23-Nov. 1: This is pretty much a Halloween party without it being Halloween

Michigan: Mackinac Races
Mackinac Island -- July 11, Lake Michigan; July 18, Lake Huron: Attending the launch parties and the finish-line bashes are some of the craziest times you can have on an island. The sight of hundreds of boats cruising the gorgeous waters of lakes Michigan and Huron is something to see.
