Michigan Girl On Florida Beach Makes An Incredible Discovery

I remember being a kid and thinking it would be so cool to write a message, put it in a bottle, and throw it out to sea in hopes it would one day be found by someone on a completely different side of the world.

Recently, a girl from Howell, Michigan, was on vacation with her family in Florida and grabbed something she saw in the waves.

It ended up being a bottle with a message inside.

Michigan Girl On Vacation Finds A Message In A Bottle

11 year old Josie Law was walking the beach along Anna Maria Island in Florida when she spotted the bottle in the waves.

Josie shared with WTSP News 10 what happened:

"I was just walking, and the waves were coming up, and it was washing on shore, The wave went like a crash into each other and went back, so then I grabbed it really quickly and I showed my mom."

What Did The Message Say?

Once they opened the bottle, they unrolled the message, which read:

Hello, people who found this. You will be happy that you found this. Why? Because you will know me with this number.

Josie's mom did what we would all do and texted the number to try and get ahold of the person who wrote the message.

To her surprise, she got a text back from a now 21-year-old woman who said she, along with her younger brother, wrote the note about 8 years ago and tossed it into the ocean after they had found a message in a bottle and wanted to do the same thing.
