The Cougars won the state Division 5 title with a 48-21 win over Frankenmuth at Ford Field in Detroit. 

Coach Todd Kolster's team dominated from the beginning Saturday to finish CoVid-19 delayed season undefeated. The stops and starts of the season testing the resolve of his charges.

"I think the emotional side of things for the players and families has been unbelievable," Kolster said in a post game press conference,. "The kids worked on their own when we were on a pause. They did whatever they needed to do because they're driven to be the best they can be."

Quarterback Joey Silveri tossed three touchdown passes and scored three more on the ground to pace the victory, but afterwards he credited his team, telling the Detroit News, "We got a great game out of my teammates," Silveri said. "Our offensive line got off the ball fast and physical."

Jace Williams and Nolan Ziegler caught touchdown passes for the Cougars, and  workhorse running  back Nick Hollern also found pay dirt in the win.
