On Thursday, March 27th, country star Chase Matthew made his fourth appearance at The Intersection in Grand Rapids, and he was quick to let the crowd know how much he loves the mitten state.

During his nearly sold-out main room show, the Chase stopped between songs several times to tell the crowd how much he loves visiting Michigan and how he hopes one day someone will take the Tennessee native snowmobiling. But what he did for a young fan before leaving the stage showed that he especially loves his fans in Michigan.

Did you know these 10 Country artists call Michigan their home?

If there's anything I know about Chase, it's that he makes sure that everyone in the crowd is having a great time. So, towards the end of his show, he raised the house lights and asked the crowd, "Raise your hand if you had a bad time".

One hand shot up in the crowd, and Chase peered out, asking what their complaint was. The woman yelled above the noise, "It's my daughter's first concert, and she's not on stage with you!" and the crowd laughed. In this moment, Chase could have easily laughed it off and moved on- but true to his character, he wanted to make sure everyone was having the best time possible.

That's when he invited the girl who we later learned was named Jade on stage, and asked her for her favorite song. She answered, "Saltwater Cinderella", which is a song that isn't generally in Chase's set. Without hesitation, he and his band broke into a karaoke version of the song, letting Jade sing along shyly on stage behind him.

Here's video, in case you missed out:

Chase yet again brought down the house and reminded his fans that he remembers that he hasn't forgotten his days in the 'basement' of The Intersection, even going as far to say that he 'started from the bottom, and now he's here [the main stage]' and it's all thanks to his dedicated Michigan fanbase.

If you haven't experienced the magic of a Chase Matthew show for yourself, your next chance will be when he returns later this year to support Keith Urban at Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkson on June 22nd.

Nashville may be the country music capital of the world, but the mitten has given the world it's fair share of Country music.
