Police in Cheboygan, Michigan, received a call just before 3 p.m. on March 14 that there was a live alligator under a bed in a local hotel.

Alligator Found in Northern Michigan Hotel Room

The gator was spotted under a bed at the Pine River Hotel in Cheboygan in room 15.

Police received a request to check the situation out when they received a call from dispatch saying that they had a caller who said that they found an alligator locked in the room under a bed.

Officers on duty radioed back to dispatch immediately with a logical question,

Did I copy 'alligator'?

Police arrived at the hotel and entered the room. And that's when they discovered that the call was the "real deal" and there was, in fact, an alligator under the bed in the room.

At that point, police called for animal control.

According to UpNorthLive, the gator's name is Wally, and he has been reunited with his owners.
