According to FOX17, nearly 70,000 pounds of chicken nuggets have been recalled because they may be contaminated. A company by the name of Perdue says the nuggets may contain wood. Never thought I would get a splinter eating a chicken nugget.

Perdue makes the gluten free Organic Breaded Chicken Breast Nuggets that were made in late October of 2018 have been shipped nationwide and right here in West Michigan. The packages to look out for have the UPC bar code of 72745-80656 and in the US Agriculture Department inspection mark, look for the establishment number of P-33944.

The USDA says to throw these chicken nuggets away or to return them to the place of purchase. There have been no reports of any serious injuries from eating the nuggets but is advising not eat any of them as a precaution.

The USDA did say there have been 3 complaints of wood being found in the nuggets.

So throw out the gluten free Organic Nuggets and if you get a craving, you may want to hit your favorite drive thru or store for a fresh batch.
