Last year we kicked off a brand new Holiday tradition in Grand Rapids, and this year it's getting bigger, brighter, and tastier than before.

The Christkindl Markt is returning to Grand Rapids this year, and it’s doubling in size! The European-inspired market will feature over 60 vendors, offering everything from cozy alpaca fleece accessories and German Christmas decorations to unique Michigan-made gifts.

The popular raclette stand from last year by Baked Cheese Haus will be back, serving delicious melted cheese over a baguette or with a brat. (Show up early and be prepared to wait in line, this was one of the highlight favorites of last year's market.)

And speaking of things that were so popular they ran out last year...

Visitors can also enjoy this year’s new specially-designed mugs, perfect for sipping their hot chocolate with real whipped cream. (Again, another thing that is absolutely worth the wait) Or adults, you can get your hands on the special beer produced by Founders that comes with a new collectible stein for this year.

They also have so many treats to enjoy this year- make sure you bring that appetite. With warm mini-donuts from Olly’s Donuts, classic European sausages, and sweet and savory crepes, there’s a taste for every craving. The Nuts Guy offers roasted, cinnamon-glazed nuts, and there’s also warm soup in bread bowls to keep everyone cozy.

Whether you’re seeking handcrafted gifts like pottery and holiday ornaments or seasonal treats, the Christkindl Markt promises an unforgettable experience in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids. Make sure you enjoy it between November 15th through December 23rd while it takes place right outside the Downtown Market.
