Christmas is coming soon, and if you're planning to mail gifts to friends and loved ones this holiday season, you're going to want to act fast.

United States Post Office Shipping Deadlines For Christmas 2025

There's nothing worse than shipping out a Christmas gift and then realizing that it won't get to its destination in time to be under the tree on Christmas morning.

But the USPS states that if you abide by these shipping deadlines, your gifts should arrive in plenty of time.

If you're planning to ship via USPS's Ground Advantage or First-Class Mail services, you'll want to get those gifts to the post office no later than Wednesday, December 17, 2025.

If you want to send your gifts via Priority Mail, you'll want to drop them off no later than Thursday, December 18, 2025.

And if you're running behind and miss those deadlines, you'll need to use USPS's Priority Mail Express service, which has a shipping deadline of Saturday, December 20, 2025.

Keep in mind, this is only for the lower 48 states. If you're planning to ship gifts to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or any of the U.S. Territories, the shipping dates differ slightly.
