Could Comerica Park Soon Become Fifth Third Park
The Detroit Tigers have called Comerica Park home for the past 25 years and soon that might be coming to an end.

The team is still going to be playing at 2100 Woodward Ave, in Detroit, but the ballpark might be getting a new name.
Earlier this week it was announced that Fifth Third Bank would be buying Comerica Bank.
Assuming that everything goes through with the acquisition Fifth Third Bank would have the name rights that Comerica Bank currently has which go through 2034.

What Would Comerica Parks New Name Be?
Comerica Park could potentially be rebranded as "Fifth Third Park" or a similar variation.
Fifth Third already holds naming rights for other sports venues, including Fifth Third Field, home of the Detroit Tigers' Triple-A affiliate in Toledo.
MLB Stadiums with Corporate Names
The Detroit Tigers are not the only MLB team that has a corporate stadium name.
22 out of the 30 MLB teams have ballparks with corporate naming rights:
- American Family Field: (Milwaukee Brewers)
- Busch Stadium: (St. Louis Cardinals)
- Citizens Bank Park: (Philadelphia Phillies)
- Coors Field: (Colorado Rockies)
- Comerica Park: (Detroit Tigers)
- Citi Field: (New York Mets)
- Chase Field: (Arizona Diamondbacks)
- Cleveland Guardians stadium
- Great American Ball Park: (Cincinnati Reds)
- Globe Life Field: (Texas Rangers)
- Oracle Park: (San Francisco Giants)
- Petco Park: (San Diego Padres)
- Progressive Field: (Cleveland Guardians)
- Rogers Centre: (Toronto Blue Jays)
- T-Mobile Park: (Seattle Mariners)
- Target Field: (Minnesota Twins)
- Tropicana Field: (Tampa Bay Rays)
- Truist Park: (Atlanta Braves)
- Guaranteed Rate Field: (Chicago White Sox)
- LoanDepot Park: (Miami Marlins)

The eight MLB stadiums without corporate naming rights deals are:
- Fenway Park
- Dodger Stadium
- Angel Stadium
- Wrigley Field
- Yankee Stadium
- Kauffman Stadium
- Oriole Park at Camden Yards
- Nationals Park
Call me old school and a dreamer but I would love if there was no corporate naming rights and I could go cheer on the tigers again a place called Tiger Stadium or Tiger Ballpark.
