How Inductees Are Chosen

Inductees are picked by a committee that includes:

  • front office members
  • local media personalities
  • select fans
  • an online fan vote from a list of former Whitecaps players, managers and staff.

Candidates may be judged on his or her impact on the community, character, sportsmanship and integrity.

Fans are even eligible for nomination which is such a cool idea.

Currently there are 29 people in the Hall of Fame, with the two new additions that makes 31 since the inaugural class of 2009

When Is The Induction Ceremony

The induction ceremony will take place on Wednesday, January 28, during the annual Whitecaps Community Foundation Winter Banquet at the Amway Grand Plaza.

Proceeds from this event and the silent auction will go to the Whitecaps Community Foundation to support the YMCA Ted Rasberry Youth Baseball and Softball Program and other youth-oriented programs.
