Why was Dax Shepard Hanging Out In Michigan Over Labor Day Weekend?
No matter how famous you get, or where you may move to, there are places you'll always love from your hometown.
For me, If I left Grand Rapids for Hollywood, I'd be coming back for the breakfast grilled cheese from One Stop Coney. But, that's not what comedian and actor Dax Shepard misses from his old Michigan home.
Over labor day weekend, Dax was spotted at the Highland House in Highland Township having lunch with his friend Aaron Weakley.
And while, I'm sure he had other reasons to be in town, it seems like stopping at one of his favorite places to have some of the best breadsticks on the planet was at the top of his list.
In fact, Dax once told MLive that he loves to visit the restaurant when he returns home. And in his words, the Highland House has “the best salad and breadsticks on the planet.”
And they look pretty good based on this photo, so I get the hype.
There's no word on why he was in town otherwise, maybe he just needed a little family and lake time for the holiday weekend, but the Ypsilanti native still has a favorite place to grab a bite when he's back in the mitten.
Too bad this time he didn't bring along his wife, Kirsten Bell, and their awesome kiddos.
So, next time you're in the area, maybe you can take his recommendation and check them out because there has to be something special for him to make the trip from LA just to enjoy a salad and breadstick.
