As a new father who takes care of his child, I think it is my responsibility to point out "baby daddies" who do not take care of theirs. About a month ago, but I'm just reading up on it now on Huffington Post, some 33-year-old guy in Knoxville named Desmond Hatchett was brought to court so that a judge could lock him up for again failing to make child support payments.

This dude has fathered a total of 30 children (ages 14 down to toddler) with at least 11 different "baby mamas" which is a record in this county. He is in serious default of his child support payments with most of the women.

The worst thing is that the state requires him to divide only 50 percent of his earnings among the 11 women, which could be as little as $1.49 a month for some of them. He came to have so many children by "having four kids in the same year. Twice," he says. I have a funny suspicion he will not be making payments any time soon.
