America has been looking forward to getting their stimulus checks from the government, however, those who are behind on child support payments, shouldn't get their hopes up.

A spokesperson with the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services confirmed it to WXYZ Detroit stating that the funds will be "intercepted by the IRS" to pay towards the debt.

This will benefit children and families who are waiting for support that’s necessary to pay food, clothing and other items for children.

According to the USA Today, the CARES package does temporarily forgive student loan debt and back taxes.
