With this home for sale in Detroit, you'll get to live in a super cool space, and it won't break the bank (no pun intended!)

A Look Inside the Historic Bank-Home

If you're a sucker for unique homes, this one is definitely it. Listed by Endrina Malkowski with the Ronnie A Team/Keller Williams Legacy, the home located in Detroit's popular West Corktown neighborhood is the perfect mix of old school and modern design.

The bank-turned-home is located at the corner of Michigan Ave. and 23rd St. Originally built in 1925, it appears that renovations were done to it to make it a residential building back in 2014. And whoever did the renovations did an amazing job.

The thing that I like most about the home is that the outside is classic, featuring limestone and large, arched windows. The front door even makes it look like you'd still be walking into a bank.

But when you walk inside, you're transported into a different world entirely.

Sure, that little entry vestibule still screams old-school bank, but that's where the old-school in this home ends.

Mixing Old Charm with Modern Style

The living, dining, and kitchen areas all flow together, and it seems that every detail is meant to accentuate or complement another. I love how the giant colorful painting in the living area coordinates with the color of the kitchen countertop.

The large windows in this main part of the home let in a ton of amazing natural light and really add to the whole vibe of the place. This part of the home by itself made me seriously consider uprooting my life and relocating to Detroit.

And then you get to the master suite. I've never really seen an open-concept master suite before, but I love the way that this room flows.

No master suite is complete without the shower of your dreams, and this one definitely delivers. (There's so much room in that shower!)

But that's not the only bathroom in the house, and the second one has an equally impressive shower situation happening. (That tile is gorgeous.)

Bonus Feature: A Basement Wine Cellar

And if you're a big fan of wine, you're in luck. The spacious basement of this home has the perfect room for a wine cellar (wine not included with purchase. Probably.)

This much history and beauty should cost you an arm and a leg, right? Nope! This two-bedroom, two bath, 3,000 square foot home could be yours for as low as $1.3 million! If you don't think that's going to be enough space, the listing states that it can be sold as a bundle with the building next to it, which is currently being used as an Airbnb.
