The Detroit Youth Choir didn't waste their shot after their successful time on 'America’s Got Talent' in 2019. Since their time on the television series, they’ve been booked for a few public and private events, and now they’re getting their own limited television series on Disney+.

According to ClickonDetroit,  Deadline reports the much loved Detroit Youth Choir will be the focus of a docuseries on Disney+ called, 'Choir'.

'Choir' will follow the Detroit Youth Choir showing the inner working of the group and their artistic Director, Anthony White. While the choir came together in 1996, White hasn't been the director the whole time but has been leading the choir's direction for a while and in that time has seen over 1,000 Detroit students come through the program, he told ClickonDetroit. The students in the Detroit Youth Choir range in age from 8 to 18 years old.

Regarding the docuseries on Disney+, Ayo Davis, the EVP of Creative Development and Strategy, with Disney Branded Content told ClickonDetroit,

“Disney Branded Television continues to seek out creative talent that is diverse, inclusive and representative of our multi-cultural landscape, and we are proud to team with Anthony White and the young voices of the Detroit Youth Choir to present this true-to-life story that is sure to inspire audiences of all ages. We guarantee you’ll be singing along with this joyful group as they learn lessons about music and life in general.”

But wait there's more Detroit Youth Choir TV coming to Disney+ as well. ClickonDetroit also says that Disney+ scripted fictionalized series based on Director White and the Detroit Youth Choir is in the works, but, said that details are still scarce on that project.
