Detroit Youth Choir Goes From ‘AGT’ To Halftime At Lions’ Opener
The Lions tweeted out Monday afternoon that the Detroit Youth Choir, who made waves when they were on America's Got Talent, and even Simon gushed over them, would be performing during the halftime show of the Lions' home opener September 15th against the Chargers.
According to Detroit Free Press, last week, the Detroit Youth Choir, all 52 of them, performed Carrie Underwood's "Champion" and after enough viewer votes, were the first act to advance to the semi-finals for the show.
The semi-finals are Tonight (Sept 4th) and next Tuesday, with the results show for each night of semi-finals, being the next night (Wednesday) airing on WOOD @ 8 pm.
The Lions take on the Chargers September 15th at Ford Field, and as you can see in the tweet, there are a few tickets still available.
