
Beloved Grand Rapids Polish Hall Damaged in Tuesday’s Powerful Storm
Grand Rapids saw some absolutely insane weather on Tuesday night.

There was heavy rain that caused flooding, lightning and a ton of hail
Parts of West Michigan saw hail ranging in size from a penny to a baseball.

I was able to capture some of the intense lightning, and hail that was the size of a penny coming down on my house.
All of this weather caused a headache for many in Grand Rapids.
When Wednesday rolled around people started to assess the damage caused from the flooding and hail.
A popular Polish hall announced that they suffered some extensive damage from the flooding and would be closing part of the hall effective immediately.
Diamond Hall Suffers Flood Damage
Diamond Hall - St. Isidore's Benevolent Aid Society shared that they suffered flood damage to the lower level bar from Tuesday night's storm.
"Due to unforeseen circumstances, the storm this past Tuesday was more than our hall could handle. The LOWER level of the hall will be closed effective immediately. However, the bar upstairs is open for business."
Diamond Halls hours will be the following.
- Monday - Thursday 2:00 - 7 or 8 pm
- Fridays - 2:00 - 11:00 pm
- Saturdays - 4:00 - 11:00 pm
- HAPPY HOUR Mon - Fri from 3-6:00 50 cents off drinks!!

I'm hoping that this flood damage will be covered by insurance, and that the hall didn't lose any historic items that had sentimental value.
