Founded in 2018, The Grand Rapids Tidal Waves compete in the Women’s Football Alliance (WFA) league. They aim to provide a platform for women to chase their dream of playing competitive football, break societal boundaries, and make lifelong friends.

The WFA is a national league consisting of over 65 teams. It was founded in 2009 and is currently the largest and most competitive league in the world.

The regular season for the Grand Rapids Tidal Waves runs April through June followed by playoffs. They are looking for fresh talent and women interested in being a part of the team. The Tidal Waves are currently recruiting for the 2022 season.

The Tidal Waves will be hosting two free mini-camps in October. October 2 from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm and October 10 from 2p-4p at Douglas Walker Park in Byron Center. Players of all shapes and sizes and abilities are needed. Register here and  show off your skills on the gridiron.

The Grand Rapids Tidal Waves recently announced the promotion of their new head coach. Stacey Davis has been selected as the team’s Head Coach. Stacey Davis has been an assistant coach on the staff since the team’s inaugural season. Davis said of the new role,

"I can’t wait to lead this talented group and even boast that “The Road to Canton” runs through Grand Rapids.  With so many returning veterans and many new incoming rookies, our team will be ready to take our play to the next level immediately."
