Don’t Be A ‘Dirty Dish Dummy’ Like This Michigan Man
Hello, my name is Joe, and I'm the 'dirty dish dummy' we're about to talk about.

It's safe to say that most men get criticized for not knowing how to properly wash dishes and what items are allowed in a dishwasher versus what should never be put in one.

I'm one of those guys and have decided to share my shortcomings so that anyone who struggles with knowing what items can and can't go in a dishwasher will have a better understanding and hopefully avoid making the same mistakes I've made in the past.
Most guys, myself included, mean well when trying to help out around the house, but recently my wife, Lindsey, made the executive decision that I will no longer load the dishwasher because of things I've put inside that got ruined.
She was also tired of me always putting things away in the wrong place, and then not being able to find them.
One of my most recent mess-ups was after chopping up some meat on a wooden cutting board.
I decided it would be a great idea to just toss it inside the dishwasher.
As you might imagine, water and wood don't mix well, and when I was ready to unload the dishes, I realized my mistake and found that the cutting board was completely destroyed.
Accidents are going to happen, but in the hope that you won't become a 'dirty dish dummy' like myself, I recommend you to never put these items in your dishwasher.
