Ele’s Place Raises $291K for West Michigan Families Facing Loss
Last night, I was lucky to join hundreds of others in West Michigan to celebrate Ele’s Place of West Michigan with their event, Courage, Comfort and Cocktails.
Held at the Goei center, the event aimed to spread awareness and raise money for their mission of helping families who have suffered a catastrophic loss. When a family unit loses a parent or child, no matter how they passed, it’s an overwhelming and traumatic process to start to learn how to live your new life.

As someone who lost their mother at the age of 9, it’s so important for families and children to have a support system like the one that Ele’s Place offers, and thanks to last night many more families will benefit from their incredible work.

The event offered food samples from dozens of local restaurants, and incredible cocktails that led up to a live auction, and an emotionally powerful testimony from a family that benefitted from Ele’s Place’s incredible programs.
With a humble goal of 60,000 to help continue their mission, Courage, Comfort & Cocktails brought in an astonishing $291,000 for the Grand Rapids non-profit. One of the highlight items in the auction was a set of three suite tickets to see Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Indianapolis, Indiana that sold for $16,000.

I encourage you to look more into Ele’s Place and the programs they offer, because last night’s event was inspiring. You can visit their website for more details on how you can help, as well.
