Facebook Plans To Train 3,000 Michigan Workers In Digital Marketing Over Next Two Years
The types of jobs available to the workforce in Michigan are changing drastically as the economy slowly shifts further away from the auto industry and two companies are stepping in to help retrain our workers.
Facebook and Grand Circus, a computer coding training firm based in Detroit, are in the middle of recruiting prospective workers to be retrained for computer coding and digital marketing jobs.
During a visit to Detroit last week, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg announced a partnership between Facebook and Grand Circus that aims to train 3,000 Michigan workers. The partnership hopes to train enough people to help meet the growing demand for qualified workers in tech industry.
The program will offer 10-week courses this fall and has info sessions about the course and job opportunities throughout the summer.
