Let's put your toddlers to work this fall and get them involved in all sorts of cooking, cleaning, and yard work.

  1. Today’s first Daddy Tip is a reminder to all of the parents with newborns and infants.  Be sure to always wash in all of their creases.  Babies are little fatties so you got to make sure to wash between their little fat rolls or else gunk will get all stuck in there.  And if you have never smelled fat roll gunk, consider yourself lucky because it is worse than hot garbage.  So be sure to wash the neck crease, leg creases, and any other fat roll crease on your baby.
  2. The next Daddy Tip is to get your little one to help out with all of your holiday cooking because not only can you pawn off some of the work, but they usually like it too!  Need cookies decorated or batter mixed?  Make your toddler do it.   Need your crescent rolls rolled up or your biscuits separated?  That’s toddler work.  Just make sure they wash their hands first because kids are gross.
  3. And the final Daddy Tip is for all those parents of lazy toddlers who don’t do any yard work.  Trick your kids into helping you rake and bag leaves. It’s not as hard as you think it might be to trick your kids either.  We’ve gotten pretty good at it here because we found out that Charlotte is very competitive, so when we “race” to see who can put more leaves into a bag, she jumps on board right away and starts working.  Same with when we see who can rake faster.  So, just remember that toddlers can do more than just jump in leaf piles, they can rake and bag them too.

And now it’s time for an awesome Dad Joke!
