When people think of Gilda's Club in Grand Rapids, they probably think of LaughFest and how it takes over the city in March. But- that's not the only time you should make this great non-profit a part of your plans.

It’s that time of year again, and Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids is adding a delightful twist to their beloved annual event—Halloween Noogiefest! On October 26th, from 1 to 3:15 p.m., the clubhouse will transform into a fun and festive Halloween haven for kids and families.

Noogiefest is known for its lighthearted spirit, and this year promises to be extra special. From ghoulish games and creepy crafts to “boo-tiful” pumpkin carving demonstrations, there’s something for everyone! Kids are encouraged to dress up (no masks covering the face, and leave those costume weapons at home), so don your silliest or spookiest outfits and get ready for a day of Halloween fun!

The party kicks into high gear at 2:30 p.m. with a thrilling performance by escape artist, magician, and comedian Michael Griffin. You might recognize him from shows like America’s Got Talent and Ripley’s Believe It or Not, so expect plenty of jaw-dropping tricks and laughs!

As always, Noogiefest is about bringing families together, especially those impacted by cancer or grief. It’s hosted in a special part of the clubhouse called Noogieland—a place where kids can be kids, make connections, and know they’re not alone in their journey. And thanks to the generous support of the Michael and Christina Rosloniec Family, this event is free and open to everyone.

Fall is here, might as well make the best of what West Michigan does best. These are some of my favorite places that the entire family can enjoy this season.
