Cookie Season Has Arrived: Where to Find Girl Scout Cookies in West Michigan
As a former Girl Scout, I get excited when I hear it's officially time to get my hands on one of America's favorite seasonal treats.
Every year, Girl Scout Cookie season brings more than just tasty treats—it’s an opportunity to empower young girls and support your community. When you buy a box of cookies from a girl scout in Grand Rapids, Wayland, Holland or any other West Michigan troop, you do more than indulge in Thin Mints or Caramel Delights; you’re helping girls build confidence and learn critical life skills.

Girl Scouts don't just sell those tasty treats- these cookies help girls learn real life skills like teamwork, goal-setting, and financial literacy. Each sale is a hands-on lesson in leadership and entrepreneurship, giving girls experiences that will set them up for lifelong success.
The impact of your purchase goes beyond the girls themselves. Proceeds from cookie sales stay local, funding community service projects, scholarships, and educational programs. Whether it’s a troop organizing a park cleanup, hosting a food drive, or exploring STEM opportunities, each box sold helps make a difference right in your our neighborhood.
Digital cookie sales start now, so if you know a scout personally, you can order them online. If you don't- that's okay! you can make a purchase from a troop near you by using their Cookie Finder. Also- starting February 28th you'll see cookie booths popping up all over West Michigan.
Supporting Girl Scouts also means investing in the future. Research shows that Girl Scouts are more likely to achieve higher education, lead in their careers, and give back to their communities. So, when you’re asked to buy a box, remember: it’s not just a cookie—it’s a way to empower young girls, support local causes, and build a brighter future. That’s a pretty sweet deal.
