Michigan Dog Owner Risks Life To Save Her Dog That Fell Through Lake Michigan Ice
I've had several scary moments where I saw my life flash before me.
I remember being a young and dumb teenager, going too fast around a corner and taking my mom's car into the ditch.
Thankfully, all that was broken was a tie rod and the front bumper.
I was able to walk away from the crash without any scars, but I did have a bruised butt from my mom whooping it.

Another scary moment that I'll never forget happened when I was a young teen.
I was ice fishing by myself, and while walking out to my fishing spot, I fell through the ice.
I'm lucky that when I fell through the ice, it was only up to my chest, and I was able to use my arms to break through the ice.
By the time I made it back to the shore, my body was frozen, and I was shaking uncontrollably.
That's why when I saw this story about a Grand Haven woman and her dog falling through a hole in the ice, my heart sank.

Bottom line: No matter how much ice you see, PLEASE STAY OFF THE LAKE MICHIGAN ICE at all times.
