Rolling into Spring: Food Truck Festival Season Kicks off in Grand Rapids

I know I'm not the only person, but I live for when the weather gets nice and it becomes Food Truck festival season in West Michigan.

My Husband and I will chase around our favorite small businesses in mobile form, and we always make it a weekly date night to show up to Food Truck Fridays. So if you aren't taking advantage of the incredible options we have of smaller local businesses, you're really missing out.

And thankfully, we have the GR8 Food Trucks, whose mission is to promote and educate us all on food truck culture in and around Grand Rapids, Michigan. They also help people who want to start their own Food Truck.

So if you're like me and you're looking to make the most of the warm weather, here's where you can find some of Grand Rapids best food trucks hanging out in the month of May.

The Spring Feast
Saturday, May 13th from Noon - 8pm

The first of many, it's time to shake off the frost and have your first chance of the season to hang out with some of your favorite trucks, vendors, and they'll even have live music! Head over to the parking lot of Rivertown Mall to catch this festival.

Food Truck Fridays - Kick off!
Friday, May 19th from 4-9pm (and every Friday through Sept 1st)

As I said earlier, my husband and I are religious about this weekly event. One of your best chances to constantly see some of your favorite trucks, with the list rotating weekly. Get there early, because the lines get long, fast! A great idea for a fun date before you head to the movies or out to the bar.

Roll'n Out Food Truck Festival
Saturday, May 21st from 11am - 8pm

The biggest of the events that happens in May, you'll want to make your way downtown to enjoy more than 40 food trucks, vendors and live music. This is also the kick off to awesome food season in downtown Grand Rapids. Come down, stay for awhile, and chow down at this all day event. (Or, come back for multiple meals if you're dedicated like me.)
