Gender reveals seem to be getting bigger and bigger and recently several have turned deadly.

A Grand Rapids family had a gender reveal for their family that almost turned deadly.

Peg and Nick Theobald are expecting their 3rd child so they decided to do a gender reveal using cupcakes.

They had their two sons Adler and Everson take part.

All four grabbed a cupcake and got ready to take a bite to find out if it was a boy or a girl.

You can see Mom and Dad in the background with excited looks on their face after seeing the pink frosting meaning they're having a girl.

Adler who is the front left was smiling and excited with a giant piece of the cupcake in his mouth.

Adler started laughing and while breathing it some crumbs and pieces of the cupcake started a coughing fit that made it really hard for him to breathe.

You can see Mom and Sad embracing while Adler is grabbing his throat as he's struggling to breathe.

Adler turns around and Mom and Dad rush over to see what's going on.

Thankfully Adler started coughing and hacking and was able to dislodge the crumbs and piece of cupcake.

The family was able to laugh at what could have been a very scary situation.
