Grand Rapids Marathon Is Sunday

I'm looking forward to my marathon this weekend.  It's a sports watching marathon.  Michigan vs MSU on Saturday, the Lions on Sunday, and hopefully more games for the Detroit Tigers.

But there are many who will be getting real exercise this weekend.  The Grand Rapids Marathon is Sunday.

The Grand Rapids Marathon starts at 8:00am on Sunday at the David D. Hunting YMCA (7:00am for "velocity challenged" runners).  The marathon is only one of many events taking place as part of Grand Rapids Marathon weekend.  Here's a few highlights and more info:

• Kids Marathon (1.2 miles) at David D. Hunting YMCA, Saturday at 1:30pm.
• Pre-race pasta. Load up on carbs, whether you need them or not.  Carbs are tasty.
• Planning to cheer on the runners?  Or just need to park downtown this weekend?  You'll need the Grand Rapids Marathon course map.
